Boarding
We specialize in gaited mountain horses, but we welcome any breed for boarding at our rural Maryland location. Our 100-year old barn sits on 25 acres with multiple pastures, two rings for riding, and a round pen. The farm is surrounded by extensive riding trails. All horses are given excellent personal care. We provide either field board or stall board, depending on the request of the owner. We also offer over-night accommodations for horses and riders traveling through the area. Call or e-mail for rates. We also raise pheasants, peacocks, and chickens, and grow organic herbs. |
Training
We offer all stages of training, and will re-train gaited horses to get the best out of the gait. We have hand-raised all our babies from birth, imprinting them lovingly. We focus on the individual needs of the horses, mostly starting the babies when they are three years old. We hire interns that want to learn to work with the horses, on the basis of the theory that teaching is a two way experience: the trainer teaches the horse and the horse teaches the trainer. |
Second Location in Adirondack Mountains of New York
We are delighted to have expanded our breeding and training facility to the heart of the Adirondack Mountains. We recently purchased 160 acres of farm and forest land in Willsboro, N. Y. We are located 30 miles from Lake Placid, 30 miles from Plattsburg, and 100 miles from Albany. This gives us the opportunity to expose our horses to all terrain work, whether streams, steep rocky trails, water, or high altitude. |
